We're maintaining a list of games that has been removed/delisted off of other stores like Steam, GOG, Itch, EGS, and so on, or were forced to self-censor to remain listed, or were denied to be sold on them.
If you know some, reply with the name of the game and/or their @.
Yes. It's always a matter of time before someone gets in and messes things up.
This is why, similar to @DEGMods, the store we're building is resistant to that kind of attack.
We turn against our users and gamedevs? Doesn't matter; freedom is still assured 🤘
Good for them. Will look into that option and see how to integrate it into the inevitable payment tool that'll be developed for the censorship resistant store we're building.
Wish we had what we're currently building up & running, so that these game producers can publish their store page, without worrying about getting delisted (as we can't delete their account or their store page), selling to whomever & whenever they want, and retain 100% revenue.
One future that we're heading towards, with mainstream stores and other services, is dark and depressing.
But there's another future, parallel to it, that goes in the other direction, bright with freedom and creativity, and we, among others, are building it.
Here's how we're solving it on our end/store:
We remove ourselves from the process.
Customers directly buy from the gamedev.
Bonus: Devs retain 100% (no cut taken).
If you're not paying to own a copy, then it shouldn't say "buy", "purchase", etc.
This will be very apparent on what we're building, along with making other points more apparent, with customer counter push on sellers leaving out information or showing incorrect information.
As an upcoming freedom game store, we don't want to collect children's private personal info & risk exposing them to predators online & real life.
We also recommend people, who can't tell the difference between fiction & reality, to seek medial mental aid. Get well soon! 🫂
Guess what you can do with your DEGA account? Definitely not this.
You can give your DEGA account to anyone (though think carefully about doing so, since you can't "change password).
Even if we told you that you can't, we can't stop you, legally or technically (no acc deletion)
