    Not to pile on when a province is in such a crisis, but given how badly @jkenney has handled the pandemic, ignored advice, ignored alarms bells from doctors and nurses and cost lives (24 deaths in last 24 hours) can he survive politically?

    Here's a (completely non-partisan) simple question. If @JustinTrudeau is so confident in his leadership and the strength and smarts of his government, why not continue with the mandate Canadian voters gave him 17 months ago? Is this election call a sign of strength or weakness?

    Please forgive a rare personal moment…this is my dad. He would have turned 100 today (or maybe 101, we’re not exactly sure. His birth certificate got lost on the way to Canada). Look at that smile.❤️ (Hug your dad, if he’s still around.)

    So, I am confused. They keep demanding freedom, right? They look pretty free to me. How many other countries would let this go on for more than 2 weeks, right next to the seat of government?

    Life is full of endings and beginnings. I slipped away from funeral coverage in 🇬🇧 to perform the wedding ceremony in Ontario for these beautiful souls,my step-daughter Erin and her wife Alex. ♥️ Blessed to have them in my life. (Back in London for the Queen’s funeral Monday.)

    Hey there-a little update from me. I’ve been off over the summer after a family bereavement, an illness (all better now!), much needed rest plus dropping off my son for his first year of university. (Grateful he’s happy/healthy/launched but the nest feels very empty 😢)
