    From an NHS colleague ‘Walking down a corridor outside oncology clinic. All patients masked. None of the staff are’ ☣️ NHS staff know face masks help protect their patients; why have they suddenly lost their minds? This unprofessional nonsense has to stop #COVIDisAirborne

    If you are unfortunate enough to be admitted to hospital, please wear a respirator YOU must protect yourself against SARS2 inhalation, because Gov guidance is set to push for a return to normal, mask-free, airborne transmission amplification It’s madness /1

    Today I asked my kids if they would be OK wearing face masks in class Son, 11, was fine; started pimping his FFP2 with his favourite Pokémon Twin sister’s head dropped & lower lip wobbled “I’m scared the girls will whisper & it makes me think that what I am doing is wrong” 😢

    London theatre visit: no masks Catch ‘a cold’, with anosmia 🤨 4 days later chest pain on walking 6 days after that -> heart attack Tn>50,000 (a big one) She’s only 56 & had no cardiac risk factors; previously well If you knew the air was dangerous you’d wear a mask, right?

    Primary school children in Devon now getting reinfected 2 months after first dose of a virus that depletes T cells & has multiple adverse effects on brain, lungs & blood vessels We have no idea of the long term harms There is no rational management plan Nothing to see here 🇬🇧

    🚨Doctor to take the stand at COVID-19 Inquiry to expose UK officials TL/DR: they knew it was airborne in Jan 2020, but when the RPE stockpile was gone, they said it was ‘mild’, took away our respirators, & let us all get infected instead #expendable

    Over the last 2 days at @covidinquiryuk the NHS has shown its dark & ugly side There was never going to be an apology from IPC guidance authors whose guidance drove disproportionately high rates of death & COVID19 in non-ICU HCWs & huge rates of nosocomial SARS2, but… /1

    How have public agencies colluded with Gov so effectively, that instead of being recognised as an act of mutual respect & concern for others, wearing a face mask can be seen as a cause for shame?
