Haven’t played Dispatch, but aside from the other female characters (including the demon lady here), one character who caught my attention was Prism, and though her personality is a bit much for me, her design ticks a lot of boxes, both in costume and out of it.
Todd Phillips doesn't want to label 'JOKER 2' a musical.
"Most of the music in the movie is really just dialogue. It’s just Arthur not having the words to say what he wants to say, so he sings them instead."

I really miss this type of dialogue in kids action cartoons, where you can tell that it was written by professional comic book writers, or at least people who are big fans of them.
You could easily see this in a comic format with word balloons.

My best guess is that it has to do with a certain type of Hollywood writing style that tries to make “strong female characters”, but thinks the easiest way to do that is to just make them sweat and be a hardass.
Fun fact, the guy who animated this also went to the same art college as Andrew Dobson.
Dobson constantly went on about how their animation department was "useless", but what happened with Chesworth?
He got a job working on Wreck-It Ralph.
I honestly really like this approach with Steven meeting villains or assholes from other stories; getting so (understandably) annoyed, frustrated and even mad at their antics that he’s just done with them, rather than the crying meme.
