Folks, as we're working on coverage of today's events, I was struck by the photo (taken by Mike Clark) who captured @ZoAndBehold leaving. Of all the things they tried taking from her, they couldn't strip her of dignity. This is the image that will stay with me.

- Smoke flooded into Montana and other western states last month. It barely registered. Smoke hits the east coast and NYC, and national media is suddenly talking about smoke forecasting for the rest of summer. 🙄

- An investigation by @daily_montanan revealed that at least four portions of Tim Sheehy's book may have been plagiarized.
- Four years ago today, my position at the @billingsgazette was eliminated. I anticipated leaving journalism (which I did for 8 mos.). I couldn't have imagined is the opportunity in store for me @statesnewsroom . Best. Job. Ever. Thank you SN and thank you Montana!
