If you are a radiologist and find something unexpected yet critical on an exam (a recent example from me: discitis-osteomyelitis on a CT aorta), it is 100% your ethical and legal responsibility to CALL THE TEAM. Will save everyone some heartache, even yourself. #radres

It was 9 years ago today that I got a message on OkCupid from @JSchleiderPhD suggesting I ride an Irish Wolfhound to my med school interviews. She has lit up my life every single day since then, through the good times and the hard times. I hope you all can be so lucky.

Critical re: testicular torsion findings on US for all my #radres friends. You don’t need complete absence of flow for this diagnosis. Case below shows preserved systolic flow, but diastolic reversal. RI also too high. Call the ED, share your concerns, and DOCUMENT!

Hearing @DGlaucomflecken at #ACR2023 is incredible. Way more than just humor. He is extremely eloquent, thoughtful, a survivor of medical trauma and absolutely roasting private equity and insurance companies. Don’t be surprised if he runs for Congress one day. #radres #MedTwitter

One tough part about radiology: when you miss an finding, there’s always documented evidence of your mistake which is always more obvious in retrospect. This can be tough to deal with emotionally but it’s important to learn from our mistakes. #radres #meded

Thrilled to announce I’ll be serving as the next @ACRRFS Executive Committee Secretary. Thanks to everyone who helped and encouraged me to do this, I’m so excited to advocate for and support everything #radres. This truly did not feel possible to me 2 years ago.

Potentially hot takes, 1 week into interviewing the next crop of #radres: -Making Step 1 P/F = a mistake and has not improved holistic applicant evaluation -Remote interviews = great at saving people 💵 but makes it harder to get interviews with average scores #futureradres

Absolutely heinous and just signed into law— SB1580 in Florida makes it legal for medical providers/insurance to turn away patients…because they are LGBTQ. Blank check for medical discrimination. #LGBTQ #radres #medicaltwitter

Interview season is upon us in the world of radiology 🩻 and #futureradres are understandably STRESSED OUT. Going to be another very competitive cycle, but if you haven’t gotten too many interviews don’t worry too much yet, it’s still early. Some interview tips to follow…

How to be a doctor-comedian without getting sued with @DGlaucomflecken ➡️ make fun of everyone (especially insurance companies), but never patients. @ACRRFS
