Am I an abnormal human being that these pictures of slavery in Libya haunts me everyday? How do normal humans react to this? According to @RefugeesinLibya Hani Haarun Hasan is only 16 years old. She was born in Moyale, Oromia, Ethiopia. I can’t share the other images 💔

These are not convicted criminals but children who have been trafficked from Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia to Libya. If one has the sincerity of being human, one would examine their current condition and say it is slavery and crime against humanity. Why is no one taking action?

Yes! This is 2025 in Southern Libya, Sabha. Eritreans, Ethiopians, Somalis and many other nationals, many of the minors as you can see are crammed into these buildings. Stripped of their dignity and right to asylum. EU denies responsibility while Libya trades them in slavery.

Away from advocacy and campaigns, I met @SalisIlaria a few days ago and I realised we share one awful thing: unjust prison. 🧵 I was imprisoned in a country where the law does not exist. She was imprisoned in a country that claims to uphold justice and act with rule of law.

Just googled myself and saw a handful of my pictures that are sold at minimum 175€ and up to 475€ on @GettyImages all without my knowledge and hell knows how much it generated over 2 years. Any advice?
