Content IP is at the very center of PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo (and every other games company). Easily accessible, monetizable interactive entertainment is the main avenue for IP but it's not the final destination. The most valuable IP can be adapted to all forms of media.

To give even greater perspective of FF16's launch performance: • Modern Warfare 2 sold 4.4 million copies in its first week on PlayStation. This includes PS4 & PS5 sales. • Final Fantasy 16 sold 3 million copies in its first week. This only includes PS5.

Serious question: why would anyone buy an Xbox Series X now that RTX 3070 costs $499? I mean every Xbox first party game is coming to PC now too... I think Nvidia might've just talked a lot of people out of buying a Series X.
