HYPE options traders still want upside. Across expiries through September, calls outweigh puts by more than 2x. The biggest position is the June 26 $80 call, with upside strikes still active into September. Max pain for June 26 is if $HYPE sits at $60. Source:

Thoughtful coverage from @JustDeauIt and @the_defi_report on Derive and the evolution of onchain derivatives. Options are how onchain markets evolve from enabling directional bets to actually pricing and transferring risk.

Yes, few realize that for 99% of assets (stocks, commodities, most crypto) your natural rate on lending is effectively 0. In trad markets you can get paid to loan stock for others to short, but unless there's a ton of demand relative to supply (e.g. a big PIPE unlock upcoming),

While attending @Morpho's incredible Vault Summit at NYSE 2 weeks ago, a LP with 10-fig allocation complained about how vaults today are mostly doing very similar & simple things: > lending against cbBTC, WETH, wstETH etc blue-chip assets > the top 12 markets on morpho accounts

Strategy: A long call condor. Max profit if HYPE expires between $68-$72. Capped losses on both sides. At spot $74.17, HYPE is trading above the profit zone; the trader is expecting a pullback below $72 by June 19.

This guy gets it. A trader deposited 74 $HYPE, used it as collateral to trade options and has generated 4% in a couple weeks. Eventually he'll convert his yield from USDC and stack more $HYPE.

ETH is moving higher as geopolitical risk comes off, but what are sophisticated traders doing? Most options positioning is in June 26 and July 31, with upside activity from 2k all the way to 3k+. The key level is 1.8k, where traders are short a lot of put exposure. So traders

Options markets implying ~10-15% chance of $100 $HYPE by end of July Think that's too low? Buy the calls at $1.50 per HYPE. If HYPE doubles by the end of July that's a 23x with no liquidation risk. Think that's too high? Take the other side by selling the calls and collect

Options yields are durable because their underlying demand is always there: uncertainty. Investors want to hedge against outcomes they cannot predict. Miners want to protect revenues, funds want downside protection and treasuries want to cap risk. Every one of these
