Max Woosey from North Devon has camped out in a tent for the past three years. He's ending his charity challenge on 1 April having raised more than £700,000 for North Devon Hospice. That's enough to fund 15 nurses for a whole year! An incredible effort, well done!👏

👏 Well done to Bill Bailey, pictured with comedian Lee Mack, who completed the first stretch of his 100-mile walk along the South West Coast Path today, in memory of Sean Lock! Bill is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. He finishes his walk in North Devon next week.

Significant risk of ice on untreated and treated roads this morning and through the day. Pic shows one of our gritter fleet overturned on the Holne Road - driver ok. Avoid travel unless absolutely essential, do not travel to find snow, and stick to the COVID-19 guidance.

🎃 Thousands of pumpkins get thrown away in the UK after Halloween, some sadly get dumped in the woods. Pumpkins can make wildlife such as hedgehogs ill if they eat them. Compost it at home, or if your area has a food waste collection, put it there. 📸 The Woodland Trust

😸 This 14th century door at Exeter Cathedral has a hole in it for cats to come and go. From 1305 to 1467, a cat was paid a penny a week to keep down the rats and mice. It's thought to be the oldest existing cat flap.

In 1971, a set of Roman Baths which laid hidden for almost 2,000 years were discovered in Exeter. Built around AD60, it is believed that the bathhouse was only the second stone building in the whole of Britain at the time it was built. 📸 Exeter Cathedral

In Dartmoor folklore, the nine maidens were women turned into stone and cursed to dance every noon for eternity as punishment for dancing on the Sabbath. It's been suggested the tale originates from the shimmering midday heat giving the illusion of movement. #FolkloreThursday

Great view of Old Exe Bridge in Exeter, believed to be the oldest medieval stone bridge in England, and the oldest bridge in Britain with a chapel still on it. It was built around 1200 and originally consisted of 17 or 18 arches spanning the River Exe!
