- Just returned from 4 train journeys through war-torn Ukraine, each over 500km. All arrived within 2 mins of the scheduled time. At Heathrow, the first thing I hear is Elizabeth Line trains are terminating at Paddington after a signals failure. Makes you proud to be British.

- A candle is burning for David at the Journalists’ Altar in St Bride's church on Fleet Street, London. Due to its location, @stbrideschurch has long been associated with journalists and the media profession. It's a beautiful place and open to the public from 8am-5pm.A candle burns for David Knowles who has died aged 32 – a brilliant @Telegraph journalist & much-loved friend.
