Hey @TPEassist
I booked this wheelchair space, and when I got on, there's a suitcase in it.
Your staff on board told me to use another wheelchair space, not my booked one, rather than get anybody to move it.
No room for the ramp on the 1133 @LNER at King's Cross.
Told I would have to catch a later train.
Er... no.
I refused to allow dispatch until LNER agreed to move the whole train 5 metres so I could get on.
Not rocket science surely. "Managers say no"
@DavidHorne
The delay was not caused by passengers causing a disturbance on a train, it was caused by @CrossCountryUK failing to maintain wheelchair space bookings. I was perfectly calm and polite.
Given it is public on Twitter that the incident involved me, that's libelous.
Watch out, XC.
Hey @northernassist
I'm Deaf. You just announced by tannoy only a late platform change for the 1806 HGT > LDS from 3 to 1.
Didn't bother changing the destination screens. Didn't bother telling me - even though I booked assistance and was waiting there 20 minutes in advance
Dear @Mark_J_Harper
I will judicially review you if you implement Closure of ticket offices.
You may remember me - I was one of the claimants in the case that got the National Disability Strategy declared illegal, and the claimant in Paulley vs Firstbus.
This is next.
I got left on a train after it terminated at Leeds.
A @CrossCountryUK train.
@northernassist assistance staff.
Train managers didn't check the train. Driver noticed me as he went past, took 20 mins to find platform staff to get me off.
Missed last bus home.
We disabled people have launched a legal challenge against the consultation for closure of ticket offices.
@newdawn75 and I, with @LeighDay_Law, barristers and allies.
The consultation is a travesty, as are the proposals which are a wholesale attack.

I am very sorry indeed to tell everybody that @CrippledCyclist has died. He died very suddenly on Monday night; quickly and peacefully.
This is a great loss to a great many people - his partner and family, and so many others whose lives he touched.
We have lost a great person.
Leeds @HMCTSgovuk security asked me to stand up.
"I can't."
"so how do you stand up to get out of your wheelchair at home then?"
He got his boss on the radio, to complain that I was refusing to stand up.
I started to panic.
Boss then told him he couldn't ask me to stand up.
