    Itโ€™s with a heavy heart that we announce the devastating news that our Physio Bob Russell sadly passed away today. Bob was an integral part of our season last year with his expert knowledge and warm personality. He was loved by all of us at the club and he will be truly missed.

    We are heartbroken to announce that Mr Downton FC, Jim Blake very sadly passed away on Friday evening. Jim quite literally ran this club for many decades and we would not be here without him. All of our love and thoughts at this awful time go to Jimโ€™s wife Sandy and family x

    The Clubhouse is Open! ย  Downton Football Club are delighted to announce that their new Clubhouse, and Downtonโ€™s newest social venue, is now open! ย  For over 30 years, DFC used the adjacent Brian Whitehead Sports and Social Club as its Clubhouse .

    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of club stalwart and dear friend Ian Drinkwater, who passed away last night. Our thoughts are with his wife Pat and family. We are postponing all matches until this Saturday when we will mark Ian's huge impact on our club.
