- Replying to @DrAmyPsyDI don't think it's unreasonable to believe an authority figure in that moment. In hindsight, sure, he was blatantly lying. But please don't crap on people who were told this was the only way to make their life better, and that the debt would be manageable. 2/3

- By the way! Many "tells" that are supposed to "prove" someone is lying describe body language that comes naturally to autistic and other neurodivergent people.
- Insurance company: We never received the claim you filed. You have to send it again. Me: Ok. *Sends it again* Them: You filed this claim twice. That’s fraud. We won’t pay either one.
- A mental health app reached out asking me to work with them. I asked if it was a paid position; they said it was. Then they asked me to create resources and send them for free. I said I'm happy to get started after we've sorted out payment. They said no, we need 1/
- You cannot “trauma dump” in your own therapy session. By that I mean, it is not possible to over-share details with someone who is not prepared to hear them because your therapist is supposed to be prepared for this. ⬇️
