- Sticking a needle for a biopsy through lung tissue - right next to a pulsatile major artery- getting paid $155.00. Plumber gets more. Yeah this is inane. Meanwhile UAW looking for a 40 percent pay raise….Should be worth more than 3 RVUs in my opinion…
- 30k an hour * 50hrs per week*46 weeks =69 million per year. Math checks out.I do healthcare consulting for a living. It is simple math that we cannot reduce healthcare costs in this country without reducing the amounts we pay doctors and hospitals. Dr's cannot make $30k/hour in an affordable system.

- Things I wish other docs looked at before doing a cards consult. 1. Syncope and Flomax. Get a consults once per week for this. 2. Edema and CCBs or gabapentin. Super common. 3.Low dose BB as only Htn agent, and usually metoprolol to boot. BB are weak htn drugs. 4. BNP elevation
- Makes me wonder what the utility and purpose of the USMLEs and IM and Cardiology boards are? Esp if you can get a FACC and put in TAVRs without doing it…🤔 why did I have to pass my cardiology boards to get my FACC and others don’t ?@GHCardiology this is so inappropriate on so many levels. Being a TAVR operator is not just about deploying a valve, but working up the pt for the optimal mx of their AS, managing the patient prior to procedure and dealing with complications. This is not safe for patients
