Today, Ambassador Arrouchi Mohammed of the Kingdom of Morocco paid a courtesy visit to @ECA_OFFICIAL's Executive Secretary @claverGatete. They emphasized the importance of enhancing collaboration between ECA and Morocco in strategic areas.

.@ECA_OFFICIAL ES @claverGatete stressed that stronger domestic resource mobilization is no longer optional. With aid declining and debt pressures mounting, boosting Africa's tax-to-GDP ratio (at just 16%) is essential to finance the continent's development ambitions.
Africa has no shortage of transformative projects. From energy infrastructure & fertilizer production to the AfCFTA & regional value chains. The challenge is affordable capital. Improving access to finance & mobilizing resources at scale are essential fr structural transformation
- Speaking at this morning's Accountability & Programme Performance Review Meeting (APPRM), ES @claverGatete underscored that performance reviews are not just about results, they're opportunities to learn, identify gaps, strengthen collaboration & deliver better outcomes for Africa
The ES thanked staff for their outstanding contributions to the successful delivery of key regional events this year, including the Africa Business Forum, the Conference of Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, the ARFSD, and ADIF.

- In a fruitful discussion w/ #COP31 High-Level Climate Champion & President of @sifiratikvakfi0, @samedargibas, ES @claverGatete re-emphasized the crucial & urgent need to mobilize ambitious Climate Action from ALL to support govts in achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.
It was also agreed that @ECA_OFFICIAL will take a proactive leadership in convening reps from the Private Sector, Youth & Civil Society w/ the objective to collaboratively explore innovative avenues for transforming waste into valuable resources to preserve our environment.

That's why #ADIF2026 launches the Implementation Clock — tracking commitments, milestones and progress through a public Accountability Dashboard. Not what did we promise, but what did we achieve. The clock is running. #JobsForAfrica

To keep that collective action accountable, she formally launched the ADIF Post-Forum Implementation Clock — a public Monitoring & Accountability Dashboard tracking commitments from idea to impact.
The inaugural #ADIF2026 may be behind us, but the momentum it generated must now continue & translate into action.
