The EPA OIG responded to public concerns about access to the Wyckoff/Eagle Harbor #Superfund site on #Bainbridge Island in #Washington. We determined that the physical access controls and informational devices should effectively limit public exposure to contaminants at the site.
We alerted EPA to a publication on its website that had been modified without noting that changes had been made. We requested that EPA safeguard transparency and accurate dissemination of information by transparently recording any changes to its published materials. Full report:
