We need a dedicated strategy for Eastern border regions. At our #EESCPlenary, with leader of Belarusian democratic forces @Tsihanouskaya, we urged to: 🔸 introduce targeted competitiveness tools; 🔸 develop a demographic recovery strategy; 🔸 accelerate investment in transport.

Yesterday, I addressed the @EU_EESC plenary session in Brussels. I called on Europe to see Belarus through its greatest strength, its hardworking, peaceful and deeply European people, and to invest in them while isolating the dictators who deny Belarusians their freedom.
