Moo Deng? Who deng? Introducing… Haggis 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Otto and Gloria have welcomed an ADORABLE pygmy hippo calf! She is doing well, but we’ll be keeping the hippo house closed for the time being so that our expert keepers can keep a close eye on mum and baby at this sensitive time 🦛💛

Haggis update 🦛 At yesterday’s weigh-in she was 10.4kg... that's a little more than a 24 can pack of @irnbru! She has now doubled in size in the past two weeks and is doing so well under the watchful eye of her mum, Gloria 💛

We are calling for tighter restrictions on fireworks following the death of Roxie, our endangered red panda kit, on bonfire night. Our expert vet team believe it's likely that three-month-old Roxie died due to stress caused by fireworks in the local area.

😠 "I want to see Moo Deng" 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 "We've got Moo Deng at home" Haggis can now be spotted in her habitat at the zoo alongside her mum Gloria. She is becoming bolder each day and spending more time exploring inside.

We are sad to share the loss of Snowflake, our leucistic penguin. At 28 years old, he was our oldest gentoo and a standout character in the colony. He was put to sleep this morning after ongoing age-related health issues. He was a much loved favourite and he will be missed 💛
