The #Horror365Challenge will be my pinned post for the year. I started off New Year's Day by watching "Beezel" (2024) dir. Aaron Fradkin. I didn't like this one as much as I anticipated, and would have preferred a few more scenes with the Witch. There were a few good scares!

I had a patient once, a wonderful, sweet lady, who came in for one thing, and found she was absolutely riddled with cancer. I loved being her nurse, and she had visitors from dawn till dusk. Clearly a very loved person. On my last shift with her, I was saying my goodbyes,

I washed dishes in the school cafeteria after lunch period to pay for my lunches in middle school. And I was made fun of pretty harshly. My dad was a janitor in my elementary school and saw some of the lunch ladies start to give a kid food, then take it away, saying

You would be surprised how many husbands refuse to wait the 6 weeks after birth to have sex. Many of them start trying IN the birthing suite. It's to protect YOU, that they have this talk.

and she said "I love you, Amanda". I said "I love you, too, ***" And I meant it. Sometimes, people come into your life for just a moment, but leave a lasting impression. I would tell her she was loved by so many, and she would say, "Don't I know it!" May we all know it.

I'm gonna cry. One of the neurosurgeon that I have been pestering all day about a patient just came up to me, and asked me for my manager's name. My heart sank. And then she said "I want to send her a message about the absolutely amazing care and communication you have

"Sorry, your parents are too poor to pay for your lunch." (Some of the other lunch ladies would either put money on accounts or sneak kids food). I'm now 45. Some kids ONLY eat what they get at school. As a taxpayer who doesn't have kids, I wany my money to FEED KIDS.

Just talked to my Dad. He said he was working under a mobile home yesterday and felt something touch his ear. He look and it was a Rhode Island Red hen. So he petted her, and gave her a piece of cake. This morning, she met him at the driveway with 2 friends lmao

Booked a hotel in their app. Said pets welcome for a fee, that's fine. Get there, start checking in, remind them I have 2 cats, and she stops and says oh no. Yall, this extended stay hotel doesn't allow cats, but they do allow dogs and... MINIATURE HORSES.
