Trans people in 🇨🇦 are scared. Terrified. Hate is rising and no one is doing anything about it. Y’all wanna pretend “Canada is different”, but we aren’t. We’re seeing what’s happening in the US. We’re seeing the warning signs of the same here. But no one is listening.

I deserve it all? So you think it’s okay to encourage people to kill themselves? To call people slurs and share their private information? This is abhorrent. Matt Walsh is trying to force trans people out of public life.

Those who push anti-trans hate want to roll us back to an idealized version of the past. One where women are forced to look and act a certain way. One where gender conformity is enforced through hate, shame and stigma. Fighting anti-trans hate is key to a feminist future.

TEACHING STUDENTS ABOUT DIVERSE FAMILIES AND QUEER PEOPLE IS NOT GROOMING. The far right is lying to you. They are spinning a false narrative about what is happening in our schools. No one is trying to convert anyone, but queer kids are still being bullied in our schools.

We need to stop pretending this but isn’t a Canadian problem too. Anti-trans hate is infiltrating the mainstream, jeopardizing all the progress we’ve made. When will our governments #Act4QueerSafety? When will we - as a society - categorically reject this hateful agenda?

I literally do not care that Pierre Poilievre has a gay dad. I don’t care that there are two gay MPs in his caucus. I don’t care that he says he won’t roll back marriage equality. I care that he’s supporting anti-LGBTQ politicians, rhetoric and policies TODAY.

The Conservative Party platform includes 4 mentions of women. 3 of those are related to an anti-trans policy. That says everything that needs to be said about the Conservative Party and gender equity.
