Off-Ball Movement is Your 12th Player. Barcelona, Bayern, PSG have all answered the “How to beat the current m2m meta?” question in this last CL round. But beyond all the rotations and position swaps, it still comes down to the small battles. Win the “duel before the duel”

Look, I’m probably nitpicking here, but if Romero doesn’t slow down, doesn’t he at least make it harder for Minteh to finish?

Now, I don’t usually like to over exaggerate when talking about a player. But in all honesty, I don’t think I’ve seen anything like Pedri before, or at least in my time as an “analyst.”

If there’s genuine Ed Woodward revisionism happening, this fanbase deserves every bit of pain coming its way.

Nothing new here, but William Saliba is such a cheat code for Arsenal when sustaining pressure. Great positional awareness as he's always scanning. Long strides to close distance and sneak a foot in from behind. Not to mention his physicality. Weirdly enough, these two

“Blind” assist from Calafiori that, right? Well, putting aside scanning what’s directly ahead, he made at least 6 scans in those 20 seconds to check if Rice completed the rotation & eventually spot Gyokeres. Quantity & Quality of scans.

I have a feeling Arsenal fans still don’t fully realize the kind of player they’ve got in Calafiori. His positional IQ, carrying and overall technical quality are literally game-breaking. Still believe he could’ve been a decisive factor in their CL run.x.com/BrrrVohoj14720…

The way Pedri influences opposition players with fake micro actions to then find and execute solutions on his own is simply unreal. Tiny fake steps to manipulate, quick touches to “freeze” players, never giving away his real intentions. Master of Puppets.

Omar Marmoush is a joke man. Love these players with intense and smart off-ball movement. He made at least 5\6 similar runs to this in this game, going from 0 to 100 from a standing position. James will need a long recovery session after the game.

PSG’s goals vs Liverpool & Arsenal were identical! • Attract press to the left (Mendes x Pacho passing quality). • Manipulate midfield w/ off-ball movement to create space. • Dembélé arrives into space. • Attack the flanks to stretch the backline. x.com/BrrrVohoj14720…

I'm taking a page out of Henry's book here. Forget about Diallo's intensity for Manchester United's second goal. His cleverness in glancing at Gray in that situation and then curving his run to force Forster to one side. High IQ! We've got a player who has it all.

Manchester United have hit the jackpot with Ayden Heaven. His composure both on and off the ball, combined with a solid technical foundation (weight and trajectory of passes), makes him look right at home as a regular starter at just 18. Elite potential.x.com/BrrrVohoj14720…

21 mins in, Arteta adjusted Arsenal’s high press. 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1, with Ødegaard shielding central areas. This let the ball-side CM press high while the far-side CM covered the space. PSG’s rotations and diagonals were less effective after that. x.com/BrrrVohoj14720…
