    My mum passed earlier this afternoon. To many she was a former teacher, politician, broadcaster, author but to myself and @CllrAengusOrour she was our mum. She loved us to bits ,taught us to respect everyone, to be honest , to work hard and study hard, to love our family.

    37 years ago today, as a wide eyed 22 year old country boy just out of UCD, I joined @PwCIreland (then Craig Gardner / Price Waterhouse) and at midnight tonight I will retire from the Partnership. It has been a privilege, in the truest meaning of the world, to have been part of

    After 144 years and 139 games, @IrishRugby finally edges ahead of @Scotlandteam for the first time by 67 wins to 66 - when the Six Nations started in 2000, we were 15 behind ! #TeamOfUs

    She almost died in Christmas 2021 but recovered to be looked after exceptionally well in the Fern Dean Nursing home in Deansgrange. The last 7 or 8 weeks she has been in sparkling form - reading the paper and enjoying the visits of family and friends.

    At the end of the 20th Century, @IrishRugby had 101 more losses than wins (P475 W173 L274 D27 Abandoned 1). Today that gap is 6 (P750 W356 L361 D32 A1). We’ve had more wins in last 24 1/2 years than the previous 124 years. Enjoy this golden era!

    4 years ago this week I was elected MP of @PwCIreland It has been a privilege and a career pinnacle to have, in my view, the best job in Ireland. Proud beyond words to be unanimously re-elected by our partners until 30/6/2023 Thanks to our People who make @PwCIreland great
