- Today, at a peaceful and meaningful rally, Federation CJA, alongside over 85 organizations stood united with thousands of Montrealers from all backgrounds. Our message resonated loud and clear: BRING THEM HOME.
00:00 - Update on Yeshiva Gedolah: Federation CJA and @CIJAinfo leadership have been engaged in discussions with our elected officials and the SPVM throughout the day. Our actions include: 1. Calling for authorization to hire off-duty police to guard our Jewish schools and synagogues.
- In the middle of the night, a bullet was fired at Azrieli Talmud Torah and Yeshiva Gedolah schools. No one was in either building and there are no injuries. Police investigators are on scene. Our Director of community security is in constant contact with the police.
- The Jewish community calls on government and social media to redouble their efforts to monitor and halt this propagation of antisemitism and bigotry. We are grateful to the synagogue security and the police for their rapid response. (3/3)
- Replying to @FederationCJA2. Urgently requesting the Prime Minister for a meeting with Federal intelligence and national law enforcement officials in order to determine the threat level against the Jewish community and what can be put in place to ensure the safety of our institutions.
- Yet another Jewish institution hit by a Molotov cocktail, this time the Jewish Community Council (VAAD) of #Montreal. Additionally, a Jewish Day School was vandalized with antisemitic graffiti. Targeting the Jewish community is #Antisemitism. This must stop. @CIJAinfo @CIJAQC
- Today we observe #YomHaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, and commemorate the 6M Jews who perished in the Holocaust.

- We are aware of the incident that occurred in Cote Saint-Luc earlier today which resulted in damage to a "Release the Hostages" sign. Montreal Police are investigating. We are in touch with law enforcement and are closely monitoring the situation. @CIJAinfo
