    My dad was an amazing man - honest, loyal, faithful and humble. Thank you God for the gift of my parents, who now are reunited in heaven. I told my dad last night, “if I had to do it all over again, I would choose you to be my dad.” He smiled and squeezed my hand.

    It is funny. I didn’t hit many home runs, but I just timed them right. There is always a little extra adrenaline in the big games with the amazing home crowds at MSU!

    On this day in 1989- An on-campus attendance record was set at Dudy Noble Field as 14,991 saw MSU win 2 games over #11 Florida, 4-3 and 5-4. Burke Masters hit a walk-off HR in game 2.

    May 26 holds a special place in my heart. I was baptized on this day in 1985 and in 1990 hit this grand slam.

    On this day in 1990- Burke Masters went 6-6 and hit a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the ninth in MSU’s 11-8 win over Florida State in the Starkville Regional.

    Had a great time at the new Dudy Noble last night. Spent about 4 innings on the radio with Jim and Jay. Big win for the Dawgs. Best stadium in college baseball!

    People have asked me if I’m torn since MSU is playing a Catholic university. I love my Catholic faith and I love the University of Notre Dame..., but I am not torn at all. Go Dawgs!

    On this day in 1990- Kimball threw a strike, @FrBurkeMasters hit a grand slam, and the Dudy Noble Field crowd went berserk as #10 MSU beat #3 Florida State 11-8, advancing to the Starkville Regional Finals. Masters went 6-6 with 5RBI.
