    Replying to @PracheeAC
One of the most pleasurable things I've done in recent history is to say no to something, and put the deadline on my calendar anyway so I got to enjoy the absence of that particular burden.

Good news everyone: my R35 MIRA is funded! 🥳Thanks to awesome lab members and, especially, encouragement from mentors/colleagues over the years💕Curious about emerging model systems and/or the evolution and specification of cytoskeletal networks? Come join the dark side!

My husband unwittingly brought home microtubule sheets. Him: “Are these acceptable?” Me: 😍

Check out the gorgeous images of chytrid actin networks we are collecting in @MBLPhys course at @MBLScience!!! 🍄🔬 🤩 This one was taken by @mycozoa and @samjlord on a #VT_iSIM, equipment from @BioVisTech @VisiTech_UK installed by @MuscatoMargaret

🚨New preprint from the lab! @K_aRobinson and @smprostak discovered how the frog-killing chytrid fungus responds to amphibian mucus: in < 5min it transitions from its motile, dispersal form to its growth form using calcium signaling! Don't worry, actin's involved, too!🐸🍄🔬

Because of the generous support of the @NSF EDGE program, we now have resources to develop molecular genetics for chytrid fungi! We will be sharing protocols and reagents as we go. So much beautiful cell biology in our future! 🍄🦠🔬😍nsf.gov/news/news_summ…
