    Grattan Sand Dune Pilot Project June 2023 shows bare sand and scattered dune vegetation. At the same spot in August 2023, there is extensive establishment of vegetation and sand accumulating. This provides a valuable habitat for local fauna! Read more GalwayCity.ie/GrattanBeach

    Galway City Council intend to close the below streets to traffic to allow for outdoor dining from June 7- September 30. ▶️ Dominick St Upper ▶️ Small Crane ▶️ Ravens Terrace ▶️ Woodquay from Daly’s Place to Headford Road, ▶️ Dominic St Lower(6-11pm) ▶️ William St West (6-11pm)

    Check out this video below from a wheelchair user who recently visited Barna Woods and described using the new path through the woods as ‘a pleasure’ which gave her ‘so much freedom and independence’. The works were carried out with funding from @TFIupdates .

    Not only is it inconsiderate, but it is also illegal to park on a footpath. In fact, it is illegal to park in any way which interferes with traffic flow or obstructs or endangers other road users, including pedestrians. ✖️No parking on a footpath (either partly or wholly).
