Walk on fare for two from London to York at 4pm on a Monday: £345*. "Demand pricing helps smooth overcrowding and gives us all a better railway!" Peak trains:
an empty train coach with red seats and a train guard walking through
another empty train coach, this one's Coach B, so that's at least two mostly empty coaches and I'll bet the rest look the same

that people think single loads with an engine each are the future of goods movement is basically hilarious if you put much thought to it

Any public figure or journalist who gave this an inch of positive coverage should never be taken seriously again.

Took a Tesla ride through the Boring Company tunnels in Vegas. Only two cars were running. Got stuck in traffic behind the other car.

I don't know who needs to hear it, but giving public sector workers a decent above-inflation pay rise is probably one of the quickest ways to turn the UK economy around.

This isn't incredible. It's called a bus. Buses are great, but they aren't trams and lack almost all of the benefits of trams.

Labour came door knocking and were upset when we said we'd absolutely not be voting for them (despite being in a tight marginal) thanks to their stance on Palestine, trans rights and migration: "Well, if the Tories win by two votes…" YES. That's the point. You've lost our vote.

Only one of these trains has been designed for passengers rather than for engineering convenience:

In May this year, @LordPeterHendy pressured my now-former employer @SYSTRA_UKIRL to sack me by threatening them. Why did he do this? Because I'd highlighted safety and accessibility issues at Euston station. He is unfit for office and should resign.
