    Hockey analytics is not that complicated or niche: * outscoring is good * those that outscore don’t always continue to do so * components of outscoring (shots/chances) shows process * who you play with, against, etc makes things harder/easier to do good in goals/shots/chances

    People think analytics is about skill over grit. No it’s substance over style. Give me good player who is gritty over skilled that gets out shot, our chanced, and out scored. Good is good; bad is bad. Don’t matter how. Revolutionary really.
