    Israel has launched another attack on Gaza, where two million people, half of them children, are still reeling from the devastation of previous assaults and a suffocating 15-year closure. Civilians in Gaza are trapped, exhausted, and afraid. STOP.

    According to a notice sent to residents, Gaza's sole power plant will shut down today (Aug. 6) at 12pm for lack of fuel. Gaza's total power supply will drop to 120 megawatts, while demand is for 500 MW in summer. Electricity supply to homes expected to be 4 hours on/12 hours off.

    Israel not only blocked the passage of ~2,000 of vaccines sent by the PA to medical teams in Gaza yesterday, it also continues to disavow its legal and moral obligation to ensure the vaccine is available to all Palestinians in occupied West Bank and Gaza.

    March 30, Land Day, will mark 1 year since the first Great March of Return protests took place along the fence separating Israel & Gaza. In the passing year, Israel has responded to protestors using live ammunition, killing close to 200 Palestinians & injuring thousands. [Thread]

    A #CeasefireNow is necessary to prevent further atrocities and loss of more life. Israel must facilitate full, uninterrupted humanitarian access to and throughout Gaza. Hostages and illegally held detainees must be released.

    Sudden change of plans? If ever there was proof that the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza was a policy choice. Israel has been deliberately denying sufficient access to aid and lying about it daily.
