    Holy fucking shit…I just saw the first doctor wearing an N95, properly and consistently on my unit. He’s new to our unit so I approached him with “so, are you wearing a mask because we’re in a pandemic?” He said yes. He wears it with all patients and in the hospital.

    Today and last night we had 4 fetal demise. IUFD. MD believes cause of three due to complications from acquiring covid. Same MD said they haven’t seen as many in their 25yr career. I’m feeling helpless today.

    My gawd!!! Just avoid the hospital at all cost. Unless it’s a medical emergency. Utilize telemedicine if you can. I’m sorry people. There is no worse. If we are not masking with newborns there is no ceiling.

    This is how my unit gets infected. While working, a masked HCW visits our unit. I offer an Aura N95 and tell him he might find it more comfortable than his not-too-baggy blue. Him: Is there covid here Me: It’s everywhere right Him: yeah I guess so Minutes later…..

    To be clear, it is the healthcare workers like her that are giving my hospitalized patients covid. But then again, no one masks on our rawdogging unit.

    I’m about to lose my mind. I came into work today to find out I’m the ONLY RN this week who has not called off. I’m the ONLY RN on my unit. Shocking, our director just informed us we’re having a “national” shortage crisis. We’re in a pandemic, it’s covid! FUCK

    Overheard a coworker talking. “I have a headache, and I’ll admit, I had covid last week. I went to my sister’s 4000 attendee reunion in Orlando and lots of people are getting sick.” When you share you care.

    4 of 6 nurses called out today. Management scrambling to get coverage. The unit cannot accept new patients. I have the solution but no one listens. Wear a fucking mask all the fucking time when not with your fucking housemates. Fuck why is this so hard to get?

    I’m surprised I didn’t quit today. I’m not sure how you all have dealt with maskholes in the work place for 976 days. Fuuuuck. It’s only been 2 weeks and I’m literally losing my mind. It’s a fucking hospital in a fucking pandemic and fucking babies and other humans.
