What an amazing outcome for gun owners! We could not be happier that the courts saw right through @ATFHQ's arguments and saw this rule for what it was—an attack on the Second Amendment. Because the rule was vacated, "Defendants may not apply the rule to anyone."

.@ATFHQ tried to turn ordinary private gun sales into a federal licensing trap. GOA stopped them—and the court vacated the rule, meaning ATF cannot enforce this backdoor universal background check scheme against anyone. Abolish gun control. Abolish ATF.

We won! But unfortunately this is no thanks to @TheJusticeDept. A few weeks ago, @DAGToddBlanche dismissed DOJ’s appeal, only to keep fighting GOA in the lower court. Why defend an anti-gun Biden-era rule that Trump campaigned on eliminating? Big mistake in an election year…
