    Happy Birthday to AB Rowan-Thompson, the youngest member of Crew 8, who recently turned 18.   He is one of our Mine Warfare ratings, who are the Swiss army knives of MCM crews, providing seamanship, gunnery and support to diving operations alongside their core Mine Warfare roles.

    Finding and recovering mines is what we do best! We've been hard at work in the Middle East, clearing up legacy drill mine shapes. Using our sonar, Seafox remote minehunting vehicles and divers, we've been leading a 🇬🇧🇺🇸 clean-up exercise to "sweep" the Central Gulf. #OpKIPION

    After 4 months in the Middle East conducting Maritime Security Operations and mine hunting training, Lt Cdr Roberts MBE hands HMS Bangor back to Lt Cdr Couzens. As MCM1 Crew 6 returns to the UK to regenerate, Crew 8 will continue operations in the Gulf. #OpKipion #Continuous15
