Another milestone for the future Hazel McCallion Line! The first piece of track has been laid on Hurontario St where the light rail vehicles will run. When completed, this 18 km line will travel from Brampton to Mississauga, connecting residents to major transit systems.
A massive concrete box was pushed through the QEW to create a new underpass for the future Hazel McCallion Line. Our crews worked around the clock for 55 hours to minimize disruption. Learn more about this milestone: bit.ly/3tqbxwO

The elevated guideway for the future #HazelMcCallion line is making progress! You may have spotted the guideway piers (the vertical structures that will support the guideway) going up near Highway 403 and Rathburn Rd. Now, the structure is starting to take shape. #HuLRT
As part of #HazelMcCallionLine construction, the 401 overpass is seeing new multiuse paths to replace standard sidewalks, making transit safer for everyone. Parapet walls are also being raised for better protection. Check out mid and post-construction photos of the west side.
🚧 #PortCreditStation update! 🚧 Concrete floors at street level have been poured, internal wall work is progressing, plumbing is nearly complete, electrical work is underway, and rebar (steel reinforcing bars) has been installed for the pedestrian ramp and stairs.

Matheson Boulevard and Hurontario Street has fully reopened following concrete pouring for #HazelMcCallionLRT track installation, which took place from Jan 14th to 17th. This intersection will be home to one of the line’s 19 stops, with canopy installation work upcoming.
