    #FactFriday Harper Adams opened in April 1901 with only 6 students and 178 acres of farmland. Today the university has 2800 undergraduate students, with teaching and farming facilities spread over 1569 acres. #futureoffarming

    The @FreeHectare, a project run by Harper and @PrecisionDec has received funding to create a Hands Free Farm. This time, the team are planning to grow three different combinable crops across 35 hectares. They also welcome @FarmscanAG as a partner. harper.ac.uk/hff12019t #HFHa

    A PhD student at Harper has successfully increased the level of long chain omega-3 while reducing the level of saturated fatty acids in cheese and producing the same the taste, by feeding microalgae to cows. Read more: harper.ac.uk/phdbt17t
