This is Gold Coast based jockey Laura Cheshire after riding in the last at Lismore.Laura copped a clod, and a shoe bang on her nose. She remained composed and finished the race, midfield, most likely with a broken nose. How tough are these jocks?Photo Credit Trackside Photography

- For whatever reason this fella has polarised racing twitter but my 2 cents worth, he is kicking goals by promoting our racing, our food, our pubs, lifestyle etc with much passion and zeal! Good on him I say.. live and let live and go the blogger! You don’t realise how big the Melbourne Cup is until you get here and start to soak up the atmosphere. I’m off for a coffee and bacon roll boys! 🏆🇦🇺
00:00 - Those that follow me know it has been a hard year with Dad having to be placed into a dementia facility home! Yesterday he turned 88 and I popped in on the way to work to see him! He has no clue who I am but as I left and said I love you Dad, he said I love you too mate! Day Made
- So today I celebrate 30 years with SKY/SKY Sports Radio.Did stuff with them as a contractor prior to 5/12/91 but was put on the books on this date. I’m very proud of this and was even Prog Mgr for 3 years but it’s my current role I love best calling the Trots Dreams Can Come True
- Well I’m quite proud to have hit 31 years with SKY today…. Held nearly every on air role at different times and even spent 3 years in a Management role… I’d love to say here’s to the next 31 but I would like to think I’ll be retired by then 😂
- I’m blessed to see and encounter champions in my job…. One of the greatest I had ever met has tragically passed away, so young …. Rest Easy Greg Sugars…. To Jess and his many friends and family, my heartfelt condolences ….. Harness Racing and the world lost a super bloke
- Alzeimers is a brutal insipid disease that is hard to cope with! For the first time my father didn’t know who I was today and that has cut me to bits…. It really is an illness that at times has a bigger impact on family rather than the person afflicted…
00:00- Very proud day for yours truly having attained 29 years service with 2KY/SSR/SKY.... not many roles or positions I haven’t filled in the organisation but my current role is the job I wanted from age 9.... #sky #skysportsradio #29years
- May I be a little self indulgent. So today marks 40 years since I called my 1st official registered race. It was at Fairfield and was won by Double Agent, on the comeback after winning the Miracle Mile earlier in 84. Big thrill, the last 40yrs and what has ensued has been great
- 9 years yesterday since Harold Park finished racing.... this was the view from the box up the straight.... it was a great race place ... pic mine 17/12/10
- It’s a sad sad day for those that love Harness Racing in oz .... Vale a legend Group 1 Gavin Lang
- What a privilege to witness history…. King of Swing, a thrill to call his three Miracle Miles. Will stay with me for ever…. All Hail The King… 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
- Come at me!!!! Peter V’Landys is the best sports administrator we’ve had! Racing goes on, saving money for the future and league might be back end of May ... clone him
