4 January 1978 - a superb group of young men marched through the gates of BRNC, Dartmouth to join the Royal Navy. Today, 44 years later I'm privileged still to be "livin' the dream and serving the Queen!" One more year left in me as a Regular to take me to the 45th...đŹđ§â

- Born in Fulham; made in the Royal Navy: Today marks 43 years continuous service for Her Britannic Majesty. On 4 Jan 1978 a group of fine young men marched through the gates of BRNC Dartmouth to embark on a great adventure, and I'm fortunate still to be living the dream...đŹđ§â

- As a serving officer I have to be circumspect politically; however, being a Unionist and maintaining our 300 year old Union is entirely compatible with my service to Her Majesty and the people of this United Kingdom. @thecoastguy speaks for me...
00:00 - Replying to @JeremyClarksonJezzer, I didn't get any A levels and I'm doing this... Born in Fulham - Made in @RoyalNavy
- Before my surgery, the anesthesiologist offered to knock me out with gas or a paddle... It was an ether, oar situation.
- Today, 70 years ago, on the death of her father King George VI, Her Britannic Majesty Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne of the United Kingdom. God Save The Queen!
- Better get this mounted with t'others. So glad still to be serving E II R - GSTQ! #70for70

- Replying to @georgegalloway @michaelgove and @afneilGeorge, I can speak from a position of authority, and knowledge, on this one. All UK Govt agencies, just one being the Royal Navy, are free to apply UK law in the whole of the UK Marine Area, within which Scot.Gov has devolved responsibility, only, for Fisheries.
- I too have served 43 years but have not consumed 600 gallons of pusserâs rum - this is why AB Parker looks better than I do! đŹđ§âď¸Able Seaman George Parker joined up as a boy of 15-years-old in 1916 and served for 43 years, becoming the Navy's oldest serving British Able Seaman. Itâs said that George had drunk 600 gallons of issue rum in his career.đŹđ§âď¸
