- Some light in the darkness. Grandson, Rowan Patrick Davis, born a few hours ago. With #COVID19 we can’t be physically present but our heart is fully there. Mom and baby are well.
- Fewer than 20% of U.S. cardiologists are women. Stunningly, twelve states in the U.S. have fewer than 10 women cardiologists! We need to do better and men leaders need to help. #AHA19

- 19 children murdered in Texas today. I’m a heart doctor. I’m also the dad of 4 and the grandfather of 5. Gun violence is a healthcare issue. How does this get stopped? Policy makers need the guts to help stop this. The evidence is clear.
