- What I personally miss about being a teacher is all the boozing we used to do in the staff room.
- I wasn’t going to post this photo. It’s full length and I have serious issues about my weight 😭 but life is too short and my daughter is sassy as hell. So here I am in all my glory 🌈
- Felt pretty awesome at the beach today after I've worked really hard to lose 60lbs in 3 months and braved wearing a bikini. Till someone laughed at me. I felt crushed for a minute then remembered who I am 👑 Everyone deserves to be comfortable on holiday. Please don't be a dick.
- I've been waiting for this moment 😭 ten years of infertility and she's just written her letter to Santa and posted it, in the snow. Magical 😍❄
- I think staff well-being is about so much more than secret friends or chocolate in the staff room. Treating staff with dignity and like human beings who aren’t infantilised would cheer me up a lot more than a box of Roses in my pigeon hole.
- Once more for those in the back: if a school is more interested in your tattoos than your pedagogy they’re not the right school for you. “How do you get away with these?” I don’t get away with it. It’s not a crime. I’m doing nothing wrong. I’m a great teacher and my tatts are ace
- Rather delighted (and still a bit in disbelief) to say I've passed my viva with minor corrections and am now a Dr. Homeless to Dr in 20 years. What a journey.
- Today this little treasure is 4. Seeing her little face makes the 10 heartbreaking years of infertility and 9 recurrent losses worth it. Happy birthday Frida Pearl 🎈
- On Friday, I had a bittersweet day of taking a year book and leaver’s hoodie to the mum of a boy who was in my form and tragically passed away in year 7. So sad to think of who he’d be and what he would have become now and in the future.
- My 14 year old has been pretty much brought up on Ru Paul's Drag Race. I'm continually told by family members that I'll "turn him gay." 1. If he's gay, Great. 2. Pretty sure that's not the way it works. I've watched Silence of the Lambs 1000s of times. Still not a cannibal.
- I walk my daughter to nursery everyday and then walk home with an empty pram past my old school. Overhears a kid who was in my form say this morning, "Aw, I don't think she's got a job now. She just walks up and down with that empty pram." I have my own urban myth 🤣
