πŸ’‰Some people cannot to take a vaccine, others have chosen not to, others are fearful of it. It’s time we considered their issues with compassion rather than coercion. The vaccine passport system is not rights compliant and should be scrapped:

In the context of increasing transphobic and homophobic attacks, this #liveline conversation is incredibly irresponsible. We stand with trans people today and every day. The fight for equality continues πŸ’™

We stand in solidarity with the Muslim community in Galway and across the country. Because this is no ordinary vandalism. Its aim is to sow fear amongst the entire community. Yet there is no law to deal with it. We need hate crime legislation. Now.

This is a dangerous narrative. Grealish is implying that all of our society's ills can be blamed on one section of the population. He's trying to divide us by implying our family, friends and neighbours are criminals. We must stand together against this.

We’re worried that the new regulations seem to allow for gathering of data in case offenses are committed. This level of surveillance extends far beyond human rights norms and what the law allows.

We've written to the Garda Commissioner about the eviction which took place at 7 Berkeley St yesterday. ICCL considers An Garda SΓochΓ‘na should not be playing a supportive role in private evictions where there is no criminal behaviour. iccl.ie/news/iccl-ques…

"I've told you already, it's not my responsibility if you're homeless" says the Garda to one of the 9 tenants illegally evicted last night in Phibsboro. It is, however, their responsibility to oversee the eviction apparently. (No, it's not)

🧡ICCL considers the comments by a Fianna FÑil Councillor disturbing and irresponsible, not just for the hurt caused to an entire community but also because comments like this from a political figure create a atmosphere permissive of hate and intolerance.

It's time for #Justice4Dara. At long last a law against the image-based sexual abuse Dara suffered will come before the Justice Committee next Tuesday. Read our press release and statement from Dara's mother Aileen & sign the petition to #EndIBSA here: iccl.ie/news/mother-of…

The Special Criminal Court was introduced as an emergency measure 49 years ago. 49 years on, it is the single biggest denial of fair trial rights in our legal system. It must be abolished, yet today it is set to be renewed again:

Good news: govt have included a firm sunset clause of November for emergency #COVID19 legislation. That’s 8 months of extreme emergency measures. ICCL will monitor the exercise of these powers closely. We will stay strong. We will all stay strong for each other. #InThisTogether

    1. ICCL stands for free speech and we defend the right of people to say offensive things. However, we are also free to call out the national broadcaster when they platform people who question one group of people's very right to exist. That's free speech in action.
