- Spent my childhood at events with my dad, Tom. Milltown or Dalymount, Lansdowne Rd or Donnybrook, ice cream Irish Opens... He was working but it was always fun. Heartbroken he left us early today but grateful for so many priceless times together. Godspeed, Dad. Say hi to Mary. ❤️

00:00 - Seamus rocking the green laces. After leading the field with 28 birdies he gets to make a charitable donation and is going to help @solascentre which is a cancer support centre in Waterford that’s close to his heart. He lost his Mum to cancer at a young age.
- Irish golf has a new DP World Tour card holder. A closing 66 for Tom McKibbin who is T6 in the clubhouse in the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final. What a great achievement just a month before his 20th birthday.
- Look who turned up at The European Club today. Smylie Kaufman, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas with owners Bernardine and Pat Ruddy. I’m told all three expressed amazement at the beauty and magical design of the links and return visits are likely.
- Mallow's @JamesSugrue2 has won the Amateur Championship, beating Euan Walker by 2 holes at @PGC1894 in a thriller.
- To put Seamus Power's bogey-free 64 in perspective - the scoring average at Spyglass Hill today is 72.492. Pebble Beach 70.475, Monterey Peninsula CC 69.668. Power's score is 4 better than the next best score at Spyglass Hill so far today.

00:00 - What a week for Gary Hurley and John Murphy. Gary had no status anywhere this time last year and is now a DP World Tour player. John was 92nd on the Challenge Tour rankings until he finished 3rd in the Irish Challenge in July. Great week for Irish and Munster golf.
