Hitting Biomechanics - Down the🐰🕳️ Hitters need to separate and close that separation, but how and when athletes do so can make a huge difference in their bat path. Let’s look at @TBazzana, who made some big changes in his bat path and bat speed during his time at Driveline.

🤔Struggling to stay back?🤔 You're likely losing your hip hinge during your stride phase or not getting into one in the first place. Three drills I love to help guys get into and maintain a hip hinge: 1⃣ Hook 'em 2⃣ Kershaw Drill 3⃣ Step Backs

I’m super excited to announce that I'll be joining the @RedSox as the High-A hitting coach. Huge thank you to everyone @DrivelineBB. It's been an honor working with some fantastic people who taught me so much and gave me experiences I will never forget.

If a hitter is "rolling over" to the pull side, the answer is rarely, if ever, telling them to stop pulling the ball. The problem isn't that they are pulling the ball; the problem is that they are bad at it. What causes rollovers? 👇

"Your bat speed and EV only needs to be high enough to check the box" "You don't get more runs for hitting it further over the fence" 👎 Most people overestimate how many balls are squared up. Most HRs are miss hit balls with plus bat speed. Acuna didn't miss this one, but...

What is Attack Angle? 🤔 Attack angle is the vertical angle the bat's sweet spot is moving at contact relative to the ground. - AA = 0° -> Parallel to the ground - AA > 0° -> Moving upward - AA < 0° -> Moving downward What is a good Attack Angle? 👇

We did a lot of this in Dallas last year using pitching machines at different angles, off set BP, and angled front toss. We had the highest batting average the program has seen in years and increases in almost every offensive category. Would highly recommend.

“The game speeding up” is a interesting phrase. The game is the same speed. Your mind is what speeds up. The ability to “slow the game down” or mentally be present is an undervalued and under trained skill. The practice environment can be used to help train the mental game.

“I think it’s garbage” said one major leaguer of Giants’ different approach to BP (machine/multiple screens & slots). “It speeds up the game when the game is sped up enough. BP is about being slow.” Giants have used that prep to great success but this weekend’s matchup is huge.

POSITION PLAYERS: KEEP UP YOUR THROWING ROUTINE! If you only throw twice a week at your games all summer, I have a pretty good idea why your arm hurts every fall. Take care of your arm and your arm will take care of you. Here is a simple throwing routine 👇
