Make no mistake, this is a pivotal day in this century. Pulling the plug on Ukraine, US disinvesting in European security, and the big powers redrawing the boundaries of smaller ones. A new reality faces Europe and it’s going to require urgent investment in defence & security.

2019 GE in a nutshell! Ryan’s a good bloke, works hard, runs a business, wants to do well. Didn’t vote for Brexit but accepted result, now wants it. He’s not particularly political but loves his country & thinks it a good place to live. The intolerant Left still don’t get it.

Loving these guys. And proud to see them wearing UK uniforms and carrying UK NLAW missiles. We’ll keep supporting them & last night @BWallaceMP did amazing work encouraging many more countries around Europe to do likewise. 🇬🇧🇺🇦

Thought I’d change my profile pic for 24hrs til the trolls saying I’m anti-British, a traitor, spineless, a coward and everything else realise that a bad day at the office used to involve much worse than facing people that spend too much time on Twitter.

I’ve been uncomfortable with much of what’s emerged about events in No 10 during Covid lockdowns. But UK faces enormous economic & security challenges that can’t be wished away. This is time for Govt to deliver not squabble amongst itself. I’ll be supporting the PM this evening.

Blown away by the scale of what’s been achieved at Excel Centre. This really is the most remarkable effort by NHS, military & civilian contractors. Their efforts really will save lives. Hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of them.

Invited Mr Corbyn to join us in Burnham-on-Sea for Armed Forces Day today but he didn't come. Which was a shame - he missed a great parade.

Jeremy Corbyn has sat down with terrorists around the world apparently in pursuit of peace & always without preconditions. But will he sit down with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom to tackle biggest constitutional challenge of our time without preconditions? Errr, no.

Just noticed that there are TWO Military Cross winners in this year’s intake of new MPs. In Parliament all veterans of Armed Forces are referred to as gallant but I wonder when the last parliamentary intake was with two gallantry medals? I’m guessing 1950s or 60s with WW2 vets.

For all claiming Conservative & Labour Euro election votes are ambiguous, this Lib Dem leaflet will help clarify. Seems pretty clear how Remain parties wanted to frame Lab & Con votes beforehand. So they should stop claiming otherwise now. Brexit must be delivered without delay.

In first 10 years of my career, I had huge privilege to serve alongside the world’s finest soldiers, sailors & airmen. So hugely honoured to now be returning to @DefenceHQ as Minister for Defence Procurement to make sure my former comrades have the world class kit they deserve.
