- I am honored to have been named Vice Chair of the EEOC and to serve the American people in this new role. Our mission to eradicate workplace discrimination is more critical than ever. I look forward to working with colleagues to fully realize the promise of our civil rights laws.
- Saddened to hear about the death of former EEOC Chair Cliff Alexander. Cliff's activism and public service - including as the first Black secretary of the Army - paved the way for generations of Americans fighting for civil rights and will continue to inspire for years to come.
- So glad EEOC is undertaking this initiative, which will help build on Dr. King's critical legacy. As we keep working to achieve his goals, we must remember that "change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle." Let's get to work.
- I was delighted to join my Republican colleague Commissioner @KSonderlingEEOC yesterday at an @abalel (ERR Committee) panel on EEOC priorities. Conversations like these help us continue the Commission’s legacy of bipartisan dialogue.
- I’m so delighted that my colleague Tom Colclough will be leading agency efforts to facilitate & support our field programs. His long career at EEOC makes him perfectly suited to this role, & both EEOC & the public will benefit. Read the press release: tinyurl.com/3eats7wv
- Artificial Intelligence could help us achieve so much. But it also has the potential to exacerbate inequities and threaten our democratic ideals. This Administration is addressing the issue. Check out the Blueprint for an AI Bill of rights: whitehouse.gov/ostp/ai-bill-o…
- Congratulations to my wonderful colleagues, Bryan Burnett and Rosa Viramontes! You both have shown an unwavering commitment to the EEOC's mission throughout your careers. This recognition is well deserved.
- Thank you to the Mexican Consulate for celebrating DC's Labor Rights Week. Knowing your rights is a first step to vindicating them. Click here for information about employment discrimination protections:
- What a significant piece of legislation this remains 13 years later! I am so proud to have worked on this Act, and prouder still to help enforce it now at the @USEEOC. Equal pay for equal work is not yet the reality, but we are working every day to advance the promise of our laws
- Today’s #CNSTAT report shows that pay data can be a key tool in our fight to ensure equal pay for equal work. These data can help fulfill the promise of the Equal Pay Act and Title VII. We’ve waited 59 years. Let’s fix this issue together. See my full statement below:
- Today is the 44th anniversary of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act. While it provides important protections, we need more. That's why Congress must approve the Pregnant Workers' Fairness Act, a bipartisan bill that would help ensure pregnant workers receive fair & equal treatment.
- Congratulations to Travis Nicholson, EEOC’s new Dallas District Director! We are so lucky to have you!
- As we mark #HolocaustRemembranceDay, may we recommit ourselves to working to eradicate hate and intolerance in every form, and in every place.
