Good for Harry Kane and others on the honours, but love to know what Jimmy Greaves, 422 club goals / 44 international goals, 1966 World Cup winner, 2 x FA Cup winner, Serie A winner and European Cup Winners' Cup winner, would have had to do to get one...

Some very sad news to report. Sir Bobby Charlton has been diagnosed with dementia. The fifth of England's 1966 heroes. I spoke with Lady Norma y'day and she hopes that wider knowledge of Sir Bobby's diagnosis will help others. Full story here:

From where Arsenal were, to win 9/10 games with a new tactical system - including big games against Man City and Chelsea - is extraordinary

This will be recalled many times in the coming days but the ultimate Peter Hill-Wood anecdote has to be him puffing on a cigar at Anfield and calmly saying "never in doubt" when Arsenal won the league in 1989

Remember this from Arsene Wenger in 2015 and feels relevant today. He said FFP was finished once he saw how clubs with far more money than sports governing bodies were ready to go down the legal route:

Bit more detail on Van Dijk deal. It's £70m, rising to around £75m. Southampton wanted big chunk up front as they plan to be active in January too and want to get an attacker in quickly.

I think Pochettino is great and Spurs have the momentum/could still win the league... but isn't the Poch = genius, Wenger = failure narrative a bit over-played while it is 2-1 to Wenger in league finishes and 2-0 in trophies?
