So League of Their Own and She Hulk got review bombed with angry 1* reviews and I wonder how terrified some dudes are of women having any stories that make them the hero rather than the victim/prize. Like, what happened to those guys? It's ok little man. Women can have stuff too.

Trust me guys, I am intimately involved in the endless discussion and decision making process that goes into designing a set before it is ever built. There is literally zero chance a famous Nazi symbol gets built into a set because, "no one realized it." That's laughable.

Someone I know died of blood loss in a Catholic hospital because she needed an emergency surgery for a ruptured uterus and the hospital wouldn't do it without a priests consent so yeah they'll just let women die.

It took three seasons to get to the Red Wedding. But once your story has a Red Wedding, a portion of your audience will want only Red Weddings from then on. Ignore the impulse to write to please these people. Great moments require a lot of setup. Your real audience gets this.

Not talking about any one specific story here, but it's important to remember that when one person comes forward with an abuse story and a ton of other people follow suite, it's generally not because it's a dogpile. It's because people were suffering in silence before that.

People always ask, "were you borrowing from Stargate. Were you borrowing from Mass Effect." No. Once and for all, we don't borrow. We steal. And we steal mostly from Fred Pohl. Which is where Mass Effect and Stargate stole too.
