    If you go from winning the World Cup to your entire team resigning in 5 days, surely even the most unreflective leader would be thinking “am I the baddie here?” The Spanish team have spoken. Now the RFEF, FIFA and the Spanish authorities must act. The women are at the door.

    The @rfef, the Spanish Football Federation, has 140 members. 6 of them are women. This is both a cause and a symptom of organisational dysfunction and must change. #SeAcabo

    Women work in their thousands in football. Without them, there would be no football. To everyone whining about a woman getting a good job in sport: step back, step up, man up, and acknowledge and thank women's incredible contribution to our national game. Oh and 👏 #AlexScott

    I went on @BBCNewsnight tonight to reflect on Spanish football’s moment of truth about women’s football. Big football institutions can’t just treat us as assets and/or consumers. We are entitled to have a full say in how football is run. We’re at the door. Open it wide.

    I'm crying for the best reasons. This girl is what it's all about - for her generation football will be completely normal. Today is significant in the history of women's footy. We face the future realistic about the work still to do, but with confidence, hope, and in great heart
