- A college coach just text me this: “You ever seen so many kids that don’t respond to college coaches?” This “D1 or Bust” Mentality has: •Made it tougher for Non-D1s to Recruit •Ended many student-athlete’s career prematurely •Kept McDonalds employed with quality workers
- A college coach just told me... “The moment I sense a kid thinks he’s too good for our school... Or he feels like he’s doing us a favor, I move on. Those kids you can’t coach as tough as you need to build a GREAT PROGRAM. Those are the kids on the transfer list every year”.
- I’ve seen a kid go from not playing at all to starting because he... • Knew all the plays✔️ • Cheered on his teammates from the bench✔️ • Had a positive attitude✔️ • Played hard✔️ Coaches will play the players that’ll help them WIN. You can do that in many ways...
- Unsigned Seniors... If you are ignoring calls & texts from D2s, D3s, NAIAs & JUCOs because a D1 invited you to a camp in April... Please stop doing this.

- A nationally ranked NJCAA D2 recently contacted an unsigned Sr without any offers. The player never responded & proceeded to post on Twitter how he was slept on & “just waiting for 1 school to believe in him” Don’t miss a blessing chasing a dream. Everyone’s path is DIFFERENT.
- An unsigned senior parent told me today he wishes he would have invested more money in his child’s academics. Compared to obsessing over AAU, showcases, camps & other services. Underclassmen... Don’t let athletics be an excuse to fall behind in the classroom. Priorities...
- I love players NOT AFRAID to get “crossed”... I love players NOT AFRAID to get “dunked on”... I love players that want to COMPETE. You can’t give 100% to THE GAME if you’re scared to put yourself in HIGH INTENSE situations. Hop up, move to the NEXT PLAY.
- Speaking with a NAIA coach this morning about an Unsigned SR... “I'd like to pull the trigger and have him sign on the spot, but I think he's hoping for a bigger offer. He hasn’t been very responsive. I think I may have to move on.” Don’t miss a blessing waiting on a dream...
- PLAYERS: If a coach text you... RESPOND. If you have not heard of the school... GOOGLE THEM. Ignorance spares no one... And once an opportunity is gone, they rarely come back. Don’t sabotage your future!
- My advice to all the kids transferring (Not just D1) is to focus on these few things: •Relationship w/ the coaching staff •Graduation Rate •Minimizing Debt •Opportunity to play I recommend not obsessing over “level”. You want to find a home & not be on the list next year.
- I’ve seen... •A MM D1 player transfer to a D2 & avg. less than 8mins per game. Graduate & become an accountant. •HS kid go to a NAIA. Start 3yrs. Graduate. Play overseas $3,000Mo. •HS kid go D3. Start 4yrs. Graduate. Turn down 2 overseas contracts to start a business. 🙏🏽
