- After 15+ years, I’ll be finishing up at The West Australian on January 9. It’s been a great ride covering WA racing and I can’t thank all trainers, jockeys, owners, breeders, administrators etc enough for helping me tell their stories. Excited for the next adventure!

- Jockey Lee Newman, a close friend of Natasha Faithfull’s, is at RPH and says the doctor says she is stable and her injuries are no longer life threatening
- Steve Wolfe with a strong statement on Amelia's Jewel ahead of The Quokka. "The only thing that beats her is bad luck and if I had one in Melbourne coming over, I would leave it there. She's the best filly in Australia"
