- So now that everyone is cancelling their trip to Florida, we need a (better) Canadian alternative. I think it's time to call up Turks and Caicos and finally offer them an opportunity to join us. We've been dating long enough - it's time for the next step.
- I read the liberal platform. I know a thing or two about govt budgets having worked for a Finance minister. This plan will lead to Canada losing its AAA credit rating. Markets were expecting (wrongfully) something serious to come from an ex-central banker. They were wrong. And
- Still can’t get over how the most popular stuff this government has announced so far is them just cancelling what they themselves put in place recently or have until now been refusing to do for years. The biggest bait and switch in history.
- At 12. Last time CPC hit 11 in Atlantic Canada, it was Harper majority. Wow.
- I love that the CPC costing plan was audited by two individuals who have impeccable credentials - a former Chief Economic Analyst at Stat Can and a former Associate Deputy Minister at Finance. Still looking for who audited the liberal plan.
- When I read the Liberal platform, I said that it put Canada’s AAA credit rating at risk. Turns out I was right. Fitch, a ratings agency, sent out a warning a few hours ago saying that Carney’s plan is a risk to Canada’s AAA credit rating. I didn’t necessarily want to be right,
- Wow, CBC saying that Carney is gonna run in Nepean. They literally DQ’d Chandra Arya, an MP since 2015, so Carney could run. That’s real cold (and maybe a little entitled).
- If Poilievre is able to do what he just did in his opening press conference for the next 36 days, he’s going to win this election.
- Peter Julian just said the NDP will vote no confidence in late February/March if Trudeau hasn’t yet resigned. Are they literally waiting for Jagmeet’s pension like what is this lol
- To those that think Carney’s CV means anything and think he’ll be good for the economy: look at who just endorsed Poilievre If you know anything about business in Canada you will recognize most if not all names on here. Trust their judgement. Carney is not who you think he is.
- Conservatives are above 40%, above what Harper had for his majority in 2011. And yet the Liberals are going to form government. Sabotage by the NDP of the highest order.
- This doesn’t happen in a serious country. A court decided that you as a homeowner maybe don’t own the home you pay a mortgage for because of ancient aboriginal claims If Canada doesn’t wanna be a 3rd world country this insanity has to be stopped and never allowed to happen againWhen will they come for your house? City of Richmond is telling home owners that the “status and validity of their ownership” is in doubt because a Vancouver Island band said their great grandparents once fished there.
- No long analysis tonight: Pierre absolutely dominated tonight. This is the clearest debate win I’ve seen in decades. He delivered his messages flawlessly and even showed some emotion. Carney once again just fine, mediocre, but lacking the fire. Jagmeet on the other hand was an
